Now more than ever, the US needs friends. In foreign relations so far this administration is an eloquent failure. India is a huge country and a democracy. It does not depend on the US. Instead of trying to forge a friendship based on common interests, the Secretary of State, who seems to be more and more the replacement of Colin Powell rather than of Henry Kissinger, comes as usual with demands in wrong time and in wrong place.
